The real potential, which the labor movement should be focused on and the political party should be aiding, is to purge the poison of inequality out of our society by organizing millions of working people into new unions and watching America’s flirtation with fascism become less appetizing. Change rising from the bottom up is inherently more stable than trying to push change from the top down.
