The Women Leaving the New Right Highlight

the Heritage Foundation — which maintains an air of moderation and propriety despite its increasingly radical agenda (see: Project 2025) — late last year hired Scott Yenor, a family-policy scholar who advocates a suite of measures to keep women from public life and reshackle them to husband, hearth, and home. Professional women, Yenor has written, are “medicated, meddlesome, and quarrelsome.” He has called women’s suffrage and property ownership “a feat of social engineering.” And he advocates for the repeal of civil-rights law to allow employers to prioritize male breadwinners and cease emasculating the workplace with anti-harassment litigation.
